Lucky for me they used three of my photos including a nice double page opener. The interviews cover marketing essentials which these days is more and more about online presence. I stopped sending out a print folio two years ago and even the ipad folio rarely goes out! There are lots of tips in the article from various photographers. There is also personal work which is often the best way to gain new clients in advertising who are tired of looking at commercially driven work… here is a book I shot as a personal work that ended up at the state library of nsw. I set up a makeshift studio in Surry Hills and took portraits of people that looked interesting as they walked past – I asked them for a one liner about their philosophy on life and that was enough to make it a book!
